An Indiana native, and a Purdue graduate, Linda moved to Atlanta in 1971 working with Eastern Airlines as a flight attendant. In 1975, she started her career with a custom photo lab and has served in that industry until her retirement in 2012. She has always loved photography, inherited from her father, who taught her the basics in their darkroom at home. As soonas she acquired her first macro lens, she was hooked. Her love of nature, mountains, flowers, and Avondale has developed in to Coatsworth Classics. She has exhibited in various galleries and juried exhibits around the Southeast, placing 1st - 3rd, in some of the categories, as well as Curators Choice twice. She is a member of the Blue Ridge Mountains Arts Assoc., Booth Photography Guild, SAAG, GNPA, and in 2019 exhibited 30+ images at the Art Center in Blue Ridge for three months as the 2nd Quarter Artist in Residence. Her work is currently being shown at the Downtown Gallery in Cartersville, sponsored by the Booth Western Art Museum, and was accepted into the Booth Western Art Museums’ Booth Photography Guild’s 2021 Annual Photography Exhibit, 8/24 – 11/7. She lives in Avondale Estates, Ga. with her husband Don and English Springer, Percy.
