BLCTXT

Hey y’all, I'm blctxt (pronounced "black text"), an Atlanta-based photographer! Don't tell anyone, but my camera is a time machine that captures unguarded memories. Despite being born in Texas, I began photographing the beautiful city of Atlanta in 2017 with my phone. As I matured into my DSLR, I let Hip-Hop culture, working-class folks, and comic books inspire my work. I am very passionate about telling as many tales as possible through my lens. Armed with my tools, I want to ensure that my legacy lasts long after I am gone.

You can find me as @blctxt on all social media platforms.

J Amezqua

Photography, for me, is more than just capturing a moment—it's about revealing the unseen and evoking a deeper connection.

I’m J. Amezqua, a photographer with a passion for transforming everyday scenes into compelling visual narratives. With a focus in education, fine art, portraiture, and documentary photography, my work is rooted in the belief that every image has a story waiting to be told.

I’m inspired by the subtle interplay of light and shadow, the beauty in simplicity, and the complexity of human emotion. Each frame is an opportunity to explore texture, contrast, and mood, creating compositions that are not only visually striking but resonate on an emotional level.

My approach blends technical precision with an intuitive sense of artistry, resulting in images that are both timeless and contemporary. Through thoughtful composition and careful attention to detail, I aim to capture not just what is seen, but what is felt.

Whether working with natural landscapes, intimate portraits, or abstract concepts, I strive to create imagery invites reflection and connection.

My work is a continuous exploration of the world around me—its beauty, its intricacies, and its stories.

Janay Peters

Hey! I'm Janay, but you can call me Nay Nay. I’m originally from Mobile, Alabama, but I’ve been rocking Atlanta as my home since I was 13. I’ve always loved photography, but it wasn’t until 2020—when the world hit pause—that I really dove in. I also snagged dual degrees from Full Sail University in Web Design and Media Design (Branding), but photography is where my heart sings. It’s my ultimate passion—my Selena to Justin, my Kenan to Kel! I’ve had the absolute pleasure of working with amazing local artists like Jessica Jayh, Remey Williams, Joy Conaway, Erika Janaé, and more. I’m also inspired by super dope photographers like Marina Williams, Cassidy Lynn, and Jordan Viision to name a few. If I had to describe my photography style  it would be Fun, Organic, and full of Soul! Cheers

Kaylinn Gilstrap

Kaylinn Gilstrap grew up in a small ranching community in Colorado, where she began exploring photography through the local 4-H chapter.  She continued her education at the Art Institute of Colorado and then worked with photographers nationwide to hone her craft.

She cares deeply about rural and urban exchange and strives to give back to the area she hails from, which she still creates today.  From 2005-2009, she worked with PCEOC (Piñon Canyon Expansion Opposition Coalition), a grassroots organization, to document families and private landowners who opposed the expansion of an army base by half a million acres.  In 2022, she created the Rural Art Show in her hometown, turning an unused building into a temporary art space to encourage community between area artists and her broadening art community.  Along with showcasing work she created in the area, she gave tours and talks to area students to encourage the development of creativity in everyday life.  Her personal work focuses on healthcare access, resource depletion, and the struggles of agricultural life.

Kaylinn works as a commercial photographer out of Atlanta, focusing on portraiture and storytelling.  Her client list includes The Bitter Southerner, Getty Images, CNN, Cisco, and Georgia Tech.  Her work has been showcased by Slate magazine, APG at the Hartsfield Jackson Airport, Youngblood Gallery (Atlanta), and Composition Gallery (Atlanta). In 2023, she was awarded the Creative Industries Grant from the city of Atlanta.

Keonté Conner

My name is Keonté Conner, an artist, skateboarder, and son to Kenyetta Conner. Art and skateboarding have been apart of my life for as long as I can remember, whether it’s my oldest memory I have of being a child and mistaking a hand-board for a skateboard for little children or being back in first grade and doodling on my assignments. I’ve always loved expressing myself in ways words couldn’t.  I took up photography after graduating high school and that helped spark appreciation for another art form and, without realizing it, deepening  my love for film/movies. I always want my art to not only pull a feeling from the consumer, but to showcase the beauty in its rawest, unfiltered form. Photography helped me get better at finding the beauty in everyday life by putting a different perspective into my lenses and I just want to devote my art to showing the beauty in the daily routine of our lives, that it’s definitely out there around us, but we just need to shift our own lenses and make an effort to see it.

To get a more personal view into my life and my projects, my instagram is @madeinkeo
