Angie Jerez (b. 1980, Bogotá, Colombia) Educated and trained as a graphic designer from the Universidad Jorge Tadeo Lozano.
Shortly after she moved to Atlanta in 2012, Angie transitioned from digital work to drawing and mural painting exploring her identity through layering stylized natural forms through graphic elements and color. She creates whimsical little worlds through abstract subjects that are surrounded by organic shapes.
In her youth, Angie grew up in a chaotic industrial neighborhood, which influenced her concept of beauty. In particular she grew an appreciation of finding beauty and harmony in the most unlikely spaces. From her childhood, she continues a passion for rundown, stuck-in-time places and decayed objects.
She lives with David, her partner and integral part of her work and projects. They enjoy drinking coffee and snacking all day in her tiny 90 sqft studio. They split one egg everyday for breakfast.
